- Song Data: All chord charts, setlists, and song information you create or import are stored locally on your device and, if iCloud is enabled, in your personal iCloud account. We never have access to this data.
- App Preferences: Theme settings, display preferences, and other configuration choices are stored locally on your device.
- No Analytics: We do not use any third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs in the app.
- No Account Required: The app does not require you to create an account or provide any personal information.
2.2 Chord Chart Converter (Website Tool)
When you use the Chord Chart Converter on our website:
- File Content: The text extracted from your uploaded chord chart files is sent to our server for AI-powered conversion. This content is processed in real-time and is not stored on our servers after the conversion is complete.
- Payment Information: If you purchase conversion credits, payment is processed by Stripe. We never see or store your credit card numbers, bank account details, or other payment credentials. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
- Session Tokens: A session token is stored in your browser's local storage to track your conversion credits. This token does not contain personal information.
2.3 Website
- Server Logs: Our hosting provider (Microsoft Azure) may collect standard server logs including IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited. These are used for security and performance purposes only. See Microsoft's Privacy Statement.
- No Cookies: We do not use tracking cookies or any third-party advertising cookies.

- Conversion Credits: Stored in Microsoft Azure's secure Table Storage, referenced by an anonymous session token.
- API Communications: All data transmitted between your browser and our servers uses HTTPS encryption.
5. Third-Party Services
Psalmist integrates with the following third-party services:
- Apple iCloud (CloudKit): For syncing your song library across your devices. Governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
- Stripe: For processing payments on the website. Governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.
- Anthropic Claude API: For AI-powered chord chart conversion. File content is processed per Anthropic's Privacy Policy. Anthropic does not use API inputs for model training.
- Microsoft Azure: For website hosting, serverless functions, and data storage. Governed by Microsoft's Privacy Statement.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to anyone. We do not share your data with third parties except as described in Section 5 (third-party services necessary for app functionality).
